Lovys is the first all-in-one 100% digital insurance that drives:

For this reason, we are, of course, advocating the use of simple language. In concrete terms: we offer a monthly insurance subscription as an alternative to old contracts. The difference? In addition to a 100% digital experience, the customer can change or cancel his subscription at any time, but also customize it according to his needs.
Lovys is a technology company for insurance, founded in 2017 in the heart of Paris, France. We are a team of +10 nationalities, working from 5 countries. We have fundraised a record amount of €17M in insurtech in France and are growing very fast - join this exciting journey!

Our team
Since 2017, we have assembled a team of +90 people drawn from twelve nationalities. This allows us to readily enter and adapt the Lovys offering to any country in Europe.

- João Cardoso - CEO
Our CEO João Cardoso has seven years’ experience in the insurtech market and recognized entrepreneurial capacity. João was co-founder and CEO of the largest comparison tool in the Brazilian insurance market, TaCerto, and the largest Brazilian B2B2C insurance platform, VisionX. This gave him first-hand experience of the bureaucracy and outdated practices still commonplace in insurance, leading to poor service and poor value for the consumer, inspiring him to establish Lovys.
- João Macedo Pinto - VP Engineering
Our VP of engineering, João Pinto, co-founded Prometheus by UpType - an online management solution that automatically organizes, compiles and analyzes company's data with virtually no integration costs and worked previously as head of BI at Rocket Internet’s venture Jumia. This previous experience allows him to contribute with significant valuable knowledge to setup and manage our engineering platform and expansion strategy.
- João Reis - VP Data
Our VP of Data, João Reis has over 8 years' experience in design and implementation of data solutions. Co-founder of UpType, he developed a data analytics online management solution. His valuable background is a key success to transform Lovys in a data driven company across all the departments and decision making processes, bringing new technologies to support Lovys' growth.
Company milestones
- 2021 - 2021: the year of big achievements and milestones! We launch Lovys in Spain, starting sellin our Home product. New features on the Auto product in France Lovys was elected the Most Innovative Digital Insurance Brand - France. We reached over 100 team members
- 2020 - 15 min is how much we take to acquire a new client Year in which we started selling our Auto and Pet insurance products in France Started to commercialize our product in Portugal!
- 2019 - Executed our Seed-round with a €3.3m investment Year in which we started selling our home and smartphone insurance products in France Start to do tests to expand to other countries in Europe!
