Systems Administration - DBA Oracle

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of the biggest clients in the world.

• Managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance
• Overseeing a queue of assignments and working directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions
• Working with clients across a variety of industries, from banking to retail
• Recommending modernization options and identifying new business opportunities
• Cultivating relationships with other teams and stakeholders
• Collaborating with a diverse group of talented people

Required Technical and Professional Expertise 

• Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, 19c and above) 
• Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and RMAN Backup & Recovery 
• PostgreSQL Database Administration and Performance Tuning 
• Linux Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS) 
• Linux Shell Scripting (Bash) 
• Database Installation, Configuration, Patching and Upgrades 
• Database Performance Analysis and Capacity Management 
• Incident, Problem and Change Management Processes 
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions 
• Security Hardening and Vulnerability Remediation 
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments 
  
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience 

• Oracle Exadata administration 
• PostgreSQL Replication and High Availability Solutions 
• Automation using Ansible, Python or Shell Scripting 
• Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS or OCI) 
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) 
• Monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, OEM or Prometheus 
• ITIL Foundation certification 
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments 
• Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
