Link is a software engineering company from Barcelona specialized in technology applied to urban services.

We develop beautiful products (APPs, Platforms, Bluetooth sensors) so that City Councils can manage and analyze all the data from urban services like waste collection or street cleaning.

Our mission is to help cities improve urban services through technology and citizen's participation.

Urban services have a direct impact on people's quality of life. When managing them, municipalities face challenges such as improving quality and sustainability, optimizing resources, increasing control and traceability or opening them to citizen participation to make them more transparent.

At Link, we work to change the way in which municipalities use the data from their services so that they become a tool to help them manage more fair and efficient services.

Technologies
We develop scalable, robust and elegant solutions. We like to work with Scala, Node.js, PHP, Kotlin and Vue.js. For the hardware we program in C.

Projects

Civiwaste APP: A tool that allows city councils to connect citizens with their urban services and increase their participation in recycling and waste collection. It allows for citizens to: Communicate their waste disposals and unlock waste containers through
Bluetooth; Find out key information about recycling and waste prevention; Receive bonuses and discounts based on their recycling behavior.

Link APP: the City Councils can record all the data and incidents detected by the service
inspectors and manage their workloads.

Link IoT (future development in 2021): A communication channel with enhanced security to send and receive data from Bluetooth IoT devices. Includes an SDK to enable service providers to incorporate it into their tools.
