Lisbon was once again home to one of the best events on the future of work and technology: Future.Works. Centro de Congressos de Lisboa opened its doors once again and welcomed not only tech professionals and tech recruiters but thought-leaders, decision-makers, public and private organisations, and more.
There were more than 3000 attendees from 110 countries, a true cultural hub taking an active role in reshaping and revolutionising the future of work. But what made Future.Works so special?
People & networking
What made this edition so special was the number of people not only at the venue but online as well, who made the whole experience worthwhile and engaging for everyone — Landing.Jobs, companies, speakers, staff, and everyone else!
On the Future.Works online platform and app, more than 4000 connections were made and more than 500 meetings booked. People were truly taking advantage of the networking opportunities that Future.Works gave and showed that people are the core of this major event.
Sessions
150+ speakers and 100+ sessions: that’s what attendees were able to have access to.
Talks
Attendee feedback is unanimous: the talks were amazing, with great insights shared. Tech-specific sessions were done by experts in their field, and speakers challenged the audience’s minds with their knowledge and thought-provoking ideas about the future of work.
There were tracks for every taste, such as Building Global Teams, Work Paradigm, Career, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Leadership, and many more. Some speakers and keynote speakers were bestselling authors and gave away free copies of their works!
Workshops
As usual, hands-on experience and training was not lacking at Future.Works. Attendees were able to get actionable tips and practice things like “notion for tech professionals”, “how to improve your tech career by changing jobs”, “reskilling into tech”, “why low-code if you can model?”, as well as some specific sessions for companies and tech recruiters on “tech recruitment after the pandemic”. These were just some of the amazing workshops given on the Hands.On rooms.
Landing.Passport
I could not overlook this one. The Landing.Passport was an unmistakable success! So many attendees filled their passports with stamps by talking with companies, playing Nerf Gun with us, asking the Landing team for random facts, sharing content on social media, and more.
We gave out 125 T-shirts, 200 rubber ducks, and 28 tickets to the boat party!
Company stands
More than 45 sponsors and partners were part of Future.Works, making the whole experience more insightful and entertaining. Companies like IWG, Mercedes-Benz.io, Claranet, Worten, Mollie, Sky and many more were there to greet and engage tech professionals, not only to connect and present their mission but to possibly discuss hiring opportunities. And also to give out some of their awesome free merchandise.
This year, not only hiring companies were there, but also coding schools! Wilde Code School, 42 Lisboa and Ironhack were there to cater to the attendees that are perhaps considering a career shift.
Boat party
The party keeps getting more epic every single year (how is that even possible?). A 3-hour-long boat ride along the Tagus river with free food and drinks welcomed the Landing team (and alumni!), the 28 attendees that won tickets, companies, and people who wanted to have fun!
