Nuxeo and Alfresco are part of the Hyland family!
Since 1991, Hyland's mission has always been the same – going above and beyond for the Hyland community of customers, partners and employees. Starting out as a small tech company in the Midwest, we take pride on our history.
Then in 2020, Hyland acquired Alfresco. And in 2021, Nuxeo! Both companies had a strong open source approach and developed low-code solutions that disrupted the market. Now, together with Hyland, we are 4000-plus employees strong with office locations from California to Kolkata, and employees in more than 20 countries.

- Nelson Silva - Senior Software Architect
Nelson has been working actively with Nuxeo since 2010. He officially joined the company in 2014 and before that he co-founded the Portuguese start-up inEvo. His work goal has always been to innovate and provide state-of-the-art solutions to clients. He has a strong focus on open source and strives to give back to the community whenever possible. He is also the father of 2 boys and 1 girl, so time gets divided between Nuxeo and family. But there is always some spare time to play electric guitar and read " although most of my bedtime reading includes technical books, which could be considered working!”
- Carolina Gouveia - Design Team Leader
Carolina started working at Nuxeo during a summer internship. Because the Nuxeo Design Team is small, it made her work alongside other teams and colleagues, from different departments and with very different goals than her own. After graduation, she interviewed at other companies with larger design teams, but felt that she was missing out on something important. So she called her old manager and asked if Nuxeo was hiring. At Nuxeo, Carolina feels that whenever she approaches someone on the teams she works with about a problem, five to six people jump in to help her. Last year, when Carolina was considering applying for the Lead position on the Design Team, she feared that she wouldn’t have the necessary skills to be successful. “My manager, but also the other engineers who worked with me and the product owners: they all said, ‘You are capable; you should not be afraid. We’re all learning, and if you have any difficulties, we’re here. We can help you.’ ” Now, Carolina is looking forward to hiring another designer onto her team, and offering them the same support as they learn to navigate Nuxeo.
