Wunder is looking for a VP Product to work with our Product Team and to drive the development of the next generation of transportation apps. The VP Product owns the vision of the product and the roadmap and holds a central role in improving the experience for our users. In addition, the VP Product will work cross-functionally to facilitate the establishment of urban carpooling as an alternative to owning a car and public transportation.

Wunder is a mobile community for sharing empty seats in cars. By increasing human interaction and decreasing congestion and pollution, we are making our world’s cities more liveable. Our company was founded by sharing economy veterans from Airbnb, is backed by A-list European and Silicon Valley investors and is supported by a team from a dozen different countries and cultures.


  • Manage the overall success of the Wunder app including strategy, product roadmap, product design and specification, quality and launch in several markets.
  • Build out and manage a team of product managers to define product strategy, develop product specifications, work with engineering, and evaluate and integrate third­ party technology.
  • Be a key spokesperson to promote the Wunder technology to users, prospects and other industry shareholders.
  • Ensure the success of both enterprise customers and individual customer experience with the Wunder app.
  • Respond to feedback and industry trends from users, prospects, competitors and other actors of the transportation industry.
  • Develop product specifications detailing user scenarios, functional requirements, performance/security requirements and technical specification.
  • Work with user experience, engineering, quality assurance, documentation and product marketing to ensure the product is delivered on time and promoted to prospects and users.

Main requirements

  • Strong experience in writing product specifications, user stories and technical requirements for mobile apps and experience with app data warehousing and app analytical products, mobile technologies and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of usability principles and practices, including early and rapid prototyping, usability testing, and design constraints for mobile apps.
  • Proven record of successfully leading the product development of a mobile-first business.
  • Direct project experience with iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM), including modelling experience using task/storyboards, user stories or user cases, etc.; working knowledge of testing / QA fundamentals.
  • Self­-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible and timely team­ player with outstanding written, verbal, presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding logical/structured analytical ability to effectively understand and decompose business needs, goals and objectives into tangible business decisions and product requirements, solutions and alternatives.
  • Experience working with stakeholders from all parts of the business, including marketing, support, product marketing and engineering working iteratively to accomplish shared goals and objectives in non-hierarchical environments.
  • You have an eye for design and an ear for the user.
  • You have basic coding skills, but you don't consider yourself an engineer.
  • You are fluent in English and your vision far transcends what is visible today. You have a track record of building and launching massively successful products that customers love. *
