What your role will be

Wunder’s Product team is hiring a Senior Data Analyst, to be based in our Hamburg headquarters. As a Senior Data Analyst on the product team, you will need to be fluent in all parts of the data ecosystem and their impacts, as well as understand the complexity of the business from both a product and marketing perspective. You will be responsible to obtain and interpret data from databases and to create cutting-edge experiments that will enhance the way Wunder uses technology to offer a world-leading mobility marketplace and tech platform. You will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team. 

With a strong focus on seamless user experiences and funnels, we balance building new features, refactoring code, and tweaking existing features based on data. So you’ll have an impact on the features being built and the direction the product is heading. This role reports to the VP Product.

What you will do 

  • Lead development and maintenance of product and business metrics
  • Deliver actionable insights based on quantitative analyses to support data-driven decisions across all teams
  • Help other teams to define KPIs and ensure their availability
  • Develop statistical models to describe and predict complex user behavior
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend product improvement opportunities
  • Build and improve statistical models such as churn prediction or fraud detection

Main requirements

  • 4+ years professional experience as data analyst within technology space, knowledge of digital product funnels and online marketing preferred
  • Expertise in SQL and Python
  • Ability to quickly pick up new technologies & skills
  • Ability to improve query performance based on query execution plans
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimentation

Nice to have

  • Solid background in A/B testing and time series analysis
