We’re looking for talented, passionate, and pragmatic Senior Frontend Developer. You’ll join our growing team of kick-ass developers in Barcelona, but will be a confident communicator in English, and will be comfortable working in an agile environment. Main requirements

  • You should be comfortable writing plain JavaScript as well as having experience working with modern frameworks like React
  • You have a solid understanding of SQL and have good working knowledge of at least one of the mainline databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • You are comfortable using Git and the command line, and have seen the benefits of working in a continuous integration / deployment environment
  • Experience in writing automated tests and TDD (or similar) to ensure functionality and quality
  • Be highly flexible and like to take a pro-active role
  • Familiarity with Agile working
  • Making yourself understandable in the English language in a business situation (medium / high level of English)
  • Knowledge developing web applications for cross-browser/device usage
  • Good knowledge about UX

Nice to have

  • You have worked with modern modular CSS architectures (BEM, OOCSS etc), and have used some of the current front end tools such as Gulp, Babel and Webpack
  • You have in-depth experience with PHP or GO
  • From the experiences you have had, you know the pros and cons of SQL v NoSQL databases. You know how and when to use Redis, Cassandra or a RDMS
  • You have been involved in moving from a monolithic application to microservices, and some of your deployments have been on Amazon Web Services
