We're looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Lisbon to work on exciting projects in the data-driven world of sustainable transportation

Your Responsibilities:

  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
  • End to end responsibility for the idea creation, rapid prototyping, and final implementation
  • Continuous validation in collaboration with the entire team and customers and, if necessary, rapid changes in the approach to match customer’s expectations
  • Active contribution to the vision of the team and help in shaping the future of a connected world

Main requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied mathematics, Quantitative field and at least 3 years of working experience in related fields
  • Passion for data – data wrangling, crunching, modelling and visualization of large data sets
  • Good knowledge in Python and/or Scala
  • Strong background in statistics and probability and familiar with e.g. Bayes Nets, Markov Decision Processes or Hidden Markov Models
  • To be familiar with common deep learning libraries: PyTorch and/or Tensorflow

Nice to have

If you are the unicorn 🦄 candidate it would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in working with time-series
  • Knowledge of distributed technologies: Spark, Flink, Kafka
  • Familiarity with containers
  • Understanding of git and git flows
