We are now looking for a System Administrator.

An active participant in managing the constant change of the company’s infrastructure playing an important role in its innovation as well as having a roadmap to incorporate DevOps gradually DevOps tasks. The second line responder to all IT related requests and problems as well as being a partner on the DevOps community in Sky An active participant in the definition and enforcement of the Sky Technology Centre in Lisbon Local IT business processes.

The System Administrator will report directly to the DevOps Tech Lead in Sky

Technology Centre – Lisbon

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for the Local IT Support and DevOps tasks namely:
  • Virtual clustered infrastructure management
  • Develop and maintaining monitoring processes
  • Engage with developers for deployment of Sky Store applications.
  • Image of Laptops according to Sky Standards, maintaining close relationships with the Tech centre in the UK.
  • Engage with local IT equipment providers that are certified by Sky UK to be able to streamline the purchase and provisioning of new workstations, as well as support them locally
  • Workstation stock management interacting with Sky UK
  • Maintaining the networking and meeting rooms infrastructure for the office(s)
  • Propose and implement processes of equipment refresh for collaborators

Main requirements

  • Complete High School
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Experience in IT Support, programming and infrastructure (both physical and virtual) management.
  • Experience in managing Windows and Linux servers and Windows and Mac workstation/laptops
  • Good teamwork spirit, communication and soft skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong Portuguese speaking skills

Nice to have

  • Preferably with a college degree in Computer Science or similar
