We seek a proactive and responsible person to investigate and fix application issues identified by our monitoring or reported to our ticket system.


Your role

We seek a proactive and responsible person to lead a team and participate in the investigation and troubleshooting of application issues identified by testing or reported to our ticket system.

  • Investigate and diagnose application-related incidents 
  • Actively monitor ticket systems during business hours 
  • Perform manual fixes to application problems 
  • Escalate problems to third level support, where necessary 
  • Recommend solutions for systemic issues and candidates for automation to the development teams 
  • Maintain application support technical documentation 
  • Verify resolution with requesters, manage tickets and keep stakeholders informed about the status of their issues

Main requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience is preferred

  • 3 years experience with Linux (RHEL), web technology and MySQL

  • 3 years experience with Java applications on production environment, including investigating issues in source code

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting web-applications

  • Experience as a tech and/or team lead is advantageous

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Good communication skills in English, preferably also in German

  • Experience with Active MQ, message brokers or AWS services would be a plus

  • Willingness to participate in an On-Call Roster
