Intro

We are looking to hire a Corporate IT Integration Platform Administrator for our Center of Excellence in Portugal. You would perform the installation, configuration and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of IBM Integration Bus, WebSphere MQ runtime environment including the setup of the queue manager network.
You would also administer the IBM WebSphere DataPower from initial setup to deployment in production and publish API and Products with API Connect.

Responsibilities:

  • Deployment, administration and operational support of (production, QA, test and development) environments for multiple projects using IBM Integration Bus, Websphere MQ, Websphere Datapower, API Connect
  • Debugs production software defects uncovered by internal/external customers
  • Coordinates with various IT teams to ensure quality troubleshooting and software releases
  • Provides product release support to Product Development team
  • Capacity planning, based on application requirements
  • Improve disaster recovery capabilities
  • Thoroughly documents support activities and share knowledge with others on team to facilitate future problem resolution
  • Conducts root cause analysis and system impact analysis
  • Accomplishes all of the above in accordance with standard procedures

Main requirements

  • Completed degree in information technology
  • Working knowledge with Web-based applications, SOA (Services Oriented Architectures) and Web application servers (Websphere, JBOSS would be appreciated)
  • Working knowledge of IBM Integration Bus, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere DataPower, and API Management
  • Database structures and SQL (DB2, SQL Server, Informix) experience
  • Experience with AIX, Linux, Windows system administration and TCP/IP networking
  • Work and/or academic experience with SSL, LDAP, Java, J2EE, XML, JMS, SNMP, SQL and Shell Scripting in a UNIX environment
  • Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated strength in collaboration within and among teams
  • Good knowledge on ITIL
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Good project management and organizational skills
  • Result-driven and reliable team player
  • Flexibility for exceptional workloads and weekend interventions
  • Excellent English, written and spoken is a must
  • Other language skills as an advantage
