Intro

Nmbrs® started out as a payroll administration office and shifted focus towards building efficient HR and payroll software with the employees best in mind. Nmbrs® strongly believes that the employee is a company's most important asset and needs to be served well.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting developers and testers
  • Supporting (end) users as a 3rd line specialist
  • Automating processes (deployments, set-ups, configurations etc.) to create a consistent environment
  • Troubleshooting issues across the entire stack - hardware, software, application and network
  • Communicating with our data centers
  • Monitoring potential issues after the weekly Thursdays deployments
  • Investigate architectural requirements of existing software and future demands from different perspectives
  • Brainstorming with colleagues about architectural solutions for our fast growing environment

We work with autonomous multi-functional agile working squads.

You will collaborate with your squad members to develop the product, prioritize your backlog and improve the teamwork. You have short effective meetings about planning and progress and join retrospectives.

Each member will bring their own expertise to the squad: a QA for the quality, the DevOps for the product and a Developer on the technical part. In this squad we have not yet assigned the Product Owner role. This role could be yours if you are up to it.

We strongly believe in autonomy and provide a support system to new employees. You will have a Mentor/Buddy assigned to you, to find your way within Nmbrs. We also have Agile coaches available to support squads and teams to make this approach succeed.

Main requirements

  • Knowledge of VMware and Windows Server environments (2008-2012)

  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration

  • Knowledge of scripting for automation (Shell scripts, Powershell, SQL)

  • Knowledge of Networking

  • Experience with development environments (Setup of dev environments and Application deployments)

  • Skilled in webservers and application setup (IIS)

  • Familiar with financial or BA software and their users

  • Fluency in English
