At mytaxi we are building our second tech hub which will be based in Barcelona. At the moment we are around 30 people, but our goal is to increase that figure to 100 by the end of 2018.
To achieve this, we need an Engineering Lead who wants to be part of our project since the very beginning and become a key trusted partner to lead and develop our team while recruiting new members.
However, you won’t do this alone as you will work in close collaboration with our development teams in Hamburg too.
As the Engineering Lead at mytaxi you will be responsible for growing a new development department of around 30 people while guiding our back-end and web developers and scrum masters.
You will also act as an important communication interface between your team and many stakeholders to make decisions that impact our development strategies.
One of our goals is to position mytaxi as the first choice for developers in Barcelona, and you will be a key partner to achieve this through your network.

Degree in Computer Science or similar
5+ years of experience in leadership of employees across decentralised locations
Several years of agile software development experience where you had the chance to proof your hands-on mentality

Fluent in English
