Moteefe is a fast-growing UK based e-commerce platform that aims to provide end-to-end solutions to entrepreneurs, influencers and retailers to create and market successful products. We are expanding our offices in Lisbon and are looking for challenge seekers that would like to join our ongoing pursuit to deliver a platform that our customers love.

The role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. 

You will report directly to Moteefe's CTO and is pivotal in our ability to deliver software to our customers quickly, on time, and to a high degree of quality.

You will be both 'hands-on' and involved in our strategic technical decisions. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time and conflict management skills. Being able to communicate clearly is essential as you’ll collaborate with different types of stakeholders in order to deliver results on deadlines.

 Ultimately, the Engineering Manager role is to track and ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner using the best of breed engineering practices.

Main requirements

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle; 
  • Providing mentoring, coaching and training to junior staff, and identifying next-generation leaders
  • Experience introducing or improving in place Agile methodologies, such as XP/Scrum/Kanban (ideally Certified Scrum Master or similar)
  • Experienced in working in an environment that champions a DevOps mindset, Continuous Integration, and Delivery.
  • Experience in both inheriting and building software engineering teams, and growing and optimizing them
  • Previous experience in a hands-on technical role
  • Designing, delivering, scaling and supporting internet-scale consumer-facing (eCommerce) software
  • Fluent in English
