What we look for

We’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer for our Culinary team (responsible for internal tools that support our recipe and menu design processes). The successful candidate will have 1+ year hands-on experience with Ruby (especially Ruby on Rails) and 1+ year experience with React. You will be a part of a friendly and supportive team of around 30 developers, working on new features but also maintaining and refactoring existing applications.

The role

  • Design & implement features in our inward facing applications
  • Build APIs using GraphQL and REST
  • Write testable and maintainable code that is reliable and performant
  • Work closely with internal clients, product managers and your teammates to arrive at the best possible feature implementation
  • Participate in shaping cross- and in-application design & architecture 

Main requirements

  • Hands-on experience in development with Ruby on Rails
  • Hands on experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially React
  • Familiar with industry standard development tools
  • Experience of agile methodologies, especially Scrum
  • A general understanding of current technologies & frameworks
  • Eager to learn continuously 

Nice to have

  • Experience with relational databases and/or other backend technologies
  • Experience with event architectures & publish-subscribe systems like Kafka
  • Experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS & Digital Ocean
