What we do:

We are the leading online metasearch- and price-comparison engine in europe, currently successfully operating in six markets - more to come. Our algorithms sort, match and compare millions of products from more than 500 retail shops.

You will be joining 40+ enthusiastic people, hailing from 12 nations (and counting) in our lovely Hamburg office.

What you will do:

  • Understand and improve our technology stack
  • Write tests for your code, work with TDD where possible
  • Quickly deliver readable and maintainable code
  • Apply design patterns and best practices
  • Learn and share your knowledge
  • Discuss and make decisions with your team
  • Work with our PO to write concepts and specify features
  • Scout upcoming cloud technologies and discuss their use with the team
  • Work on our applications to understand their needs
  • Manage and scale our kubernetes cluster on gcloud
  • Work on autoscaling, automatic provisioning of DNS, SSL, and LBs
  • Automate and optimize existing workflows
  • Provide the tools (alerting, metering, monitoring, logging) to make it easy for developers to do things right and anti-fragile
  • Turn our continuous integration into continuous deployment
  • Learn and share your knowledge with the team
  • Improve our own and others’ open source projects
  • Help your team mates to become even better developers
  • Prepare our architecture for the next levels of scale

Main requirements

  • You worked with docker in production (200+ containers)
  • You worked with kubernetes or Mesos in production
  • You have experience with centralized logging, monitoring and metering (e.g. ELK / TICK / Prometheus ...)
  • You are experienced with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, cloud formation, ansible)
  • You care about maintainability, reliability and scalability
  • You enjoy working conceptually, digging deep into technology
  • You're eager to research and improve best practices for problems
  • You want to develop a long-term vision for our infrastructure and lead others to help with it

  • You can show us some new tabletennis moves ;-)


  • We plan together and discuss alternative approaches
  • Home office is okay if you make sure your team knows what's up
  • We strongly believe in retrospectives and improving workflows every sprint
