Landing was founded under the belief that individuals must have ownership of their professional careers in order to ensure their ability to keep-up with the future of work. Essentially, our mission is to change the way careers are planned and executed.

To help us on our mission we are currently on the lookout for a promising Junior Software Developer!

Your Role

As a Software Developer you'll be working on a cross-functional team that contributes on a daily basis to the development of our platforms. Acting as a full-stack developer you'll be responsible for both the implementation and unit testing of new features with a clear focus on advocating programming best practices. You'll face both technical and functional challenges and you'll always be on the lookout for the new tech trends.

What you will be doing

  • As part of our Development team, you will learn and integrate our development process and practices;
  • Communicate with our Experience team about the best way to build the solutions for our user’s problems;
  • Work together and be mentored by other members of our team;
  • Grow to have your own tasks and be responsible for your own work, handling both Back-end and Front-end challenges;

You’ll be surrounded by a bunch of cool fellows (have you met Rodrigues or João?) who will help you thrive in your work!

You should have

  • An “eager-to-learn” mindset, with a desire to gain your first experience as a developer;
  • A passion for problem solving; you just CAN’T get enough of every challenge thrown at you and you’re always working to find solutions;
  • An open mind, not afraid to a) speak up when something’s not right; b) engage and work together with colleagues to find a solution.

Important Note: We are also open to have you in our team while you develop your final university project with us, either your master thesis or other interesting topics you might be developing.

Main requirements

  • Some experience programming (e.g. Ruby on Rails, React)
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Critical thinking, willingness to learn and attention to detail – most essential
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written)

Nice to have

  • Previous work with Git and Agile Practices
  • Experience with SQL or PostgreSQL databases
  • Portfolio of Ruby on Rails applications

  • Health and Dental Insurance
  • Budget for monthly professional skill training
