We’re looking for a passionate and energetic Technical Product Manager to work alongside our creative and dynamic Back-end technology teams on a range of ambitious and innovative projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of projects as a back-end technology liaison between Product and Design teams, business users, software engineering and systems teams for various technology and business initiatives
  • Work directly with one or more technology teams to drive key technology initiatives such as building out system features, performance and technology enhancements, etc.
  • Working with other Product Managers, define and implement industry standard processes across the back-end development teams so that they can consistently deliver high quality of software, and support
  • Work to the business roadmap and delivery to other products aligned with the technical strategy
  • Define, scope & document back-end product requirements for all new product development
  • Estimating features, working closely with technical and business teams at each stage of the development lifecycle
  • Manage, investigate and prioritise bugs associated with each product
  • Contribute to the evolution of the overall product/system architecture

Main requirements

  • Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture. Preferably experience building similar systems for a large-scale e-commerce business
  • Experience with data analysis, and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • 5+ years developing object-oriented database-back-end websites
  • Understanding of most popular design patterns (MVC, SOLID, Dependency injection)
  • Experience working in an agile environment and with techniques like Continuous Integration, code reviews
  • Understanding and experience of web application security best practices
  • Experience in API, Rest API development and XML/JSON processing
  • Experience in MySQL
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, test, and debug existing codebases
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a high traffic environment is a plus, as well as knowledge on caching strategies and tools (Memcache, Redis, Varnish, NginX), search engines (Solr, Elastic Search, Sphinx) and message queues
  • Experience with any other language (Java, Python, C++)
  • Product Management background
