Hostelworld is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The role is with one of the world’s fastest growing online travel companies which include in its portfolio many market leading brands targeted at the independently minded traveler.

As a strategic part of the Product Team, Project Managers will play a key role in every step – from conception to project delivery. As a Project Manager you will operate as a liaison between the technology & business departments. You will manage project delivery through every stage of the process across cross-functional and multi-site stakeholders and development teams.


  • Manage day-to-day project management activities including scoping, development effort, scheduling, issue and risk tracking & resolution
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand development needed and to agree appropriate resourcing & delivery timelines
  • Provide project management expertise & lead key project work streams
  • Work with the full project life cycle while following project governance processes within agreed timescales to time, cost, and quality
  • Lead each assigned project through the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion
  • Work with Product & technical teams to build cohesive project plans and drive continuous process improvement
  • Work with cross-functional and multi-site teams to deliver projects and tasks of varying sizes
  • Conduct project planning and status meetings
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and translate into detailed project and resource plans
  • Track and manage tasks through project phase deliverables both individually and in a team

Main requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Management role
  • Full project life-cycle development experience
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to influence and maintain relationships with stakeholders in support of project delivery
  • Experience applying project management methodologies / tools (Prince, PMP, Visio, MS Project or related)
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Experience with Agile and/or Kanban principals
  • Experience & understanding of technologies within an e-Commerce environment essential
  • Experience working with multi-site teams
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience of mobile technologies
