The Role

As a member of the DevOps team, your focus would be on improving engineering efficiency through the use of infrastructure resources and services. In addition to exploring open source technologies to assess whether they are viable for introduction to internal infrastructure or external products, the DevOps Team is responsible for providing and maintaining:

  • Source Code Control System
  • Defect Tracking
  • Continuous integration systems
  • Engineering Wiki (mediawiki, confluence)
  • Test Case Tracking system
  • Equipment Tracking / Status
  • Archive configurations
  • Usage Monitoring
  • VM Inventory/utilization



  • Develop automated scripts to support deployments with minimal guidance
  • Work independently on assigned tickets with little or no help from others
  • Assist the lead architect in planning and design of specific components/tasks
  • Hands on development for projects
  • Manage investigation of issues and associated Root Cause Analysis
  • Informally mentor junior team members of the team
  • Research new technologies, techniques, design patterns etc as applicable to projects
  • Active participant in sprint planning sessions
  • Conduct code reviews 

Main requirements

  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows system administration
  • Moderate development capability in a modern scripting or programming language and the desire to learn more
  • Good grasp on AWS best practices
  • Working knowledge of Cloudformation / Terraform templates
  • Full Life Cycle DevOps engineering experience
  • CI/CD Process/Tools exposure
  • Ability to write custom CM (chef recipes, puppet manifests, etc.)
  • Exposure to Terraform/Vagrant automation and Cloudformation templates
  • One or more AWS Certifications (Associate Architect, Developer, SysOps), starts to work towards Professional certifications
  • Solid understanding of AWS Well Architected Framework
