Intro

Our platform handles hundreds of thousands of requests per second and collects Terabytes of information relevant for business, production and monitoring. As part of our DevOps team, you will be in charge of the systems that process these amounts of data, making sure they scale smoothly with our growth.

Your Role:

  • Dealing with multiple stakeholders, clearly communicating the current state and potential issues with on-going project, while diving into hands-on implementation
  • Build and develop infrastructure as code in our new AWS environments using industry standard IaaS models
  • Engaging in active collaboration with developers, QA engineers and system engineers (Engineering + IT Operations)
  • Improving the implementation of the adopted provisioning tools’ implementation (Terraform, AWS AMIs, Ansible)
  • Support infrastructure engineering and reengineering projects, focusing on scalability, simplicity and high availability of our platform

Main requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an infrastructure or software engineer dealing with distributed applications; understanding of the infrastructure layer is required
  • Good understanding of the DevOps principles and culture
  • Solid understanding of the infrastructure-as-code concept, practical experience with CloudFormation / Terraform (preferably both)
  • Practical experience with Amazon AWS (VPC, ELB, EC2, EC2 Container Service, CloudWatch, Route53, CloudFormation, Lambda)
  • Experience with web-server/proxy/load-balancing solutions (Nginx, HAProxy)
  • Good skills with any of the following: Python, Ruby, HCL, Scala, Java

Nice to have

  • Knowledge in orchestration solutions (mainly Chef, puppet and/or Ansible would be a plus)
  • Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases or message-queueing solutions (mostly Apache Kafka but also AWS SQS)
  • Experience with centralised monitoring (Nagios, CloudWatch) and logging solutions
