Currently we are in agile transformation phase where we are in the middle of designing and rolling out the foundation of our Scrum framework. In your influential role as Scrum Master you will work with our international product engineering team in driving the adoption of our framework as well as coaching the team to improve the way they work.   • Coach our product engineering team and various stakeholders on Scrum practices to enable our cross functional teams to continuously improve our Freeletics products in an agile environment
  • Cultivate a shared team collaboration mindset and drive the team to take ownership on their work and improve the team self-organizational skills
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement sessions with the product engineering team
  • Coach the team to manage user stories design and decomposition of stories
  • Enable a learning and continuous improvement environment through facilitating effective sprint retrospectives

Main requirements

  • Experienced in agile software development methodologies and a hands on scrum master with exposure to cross functional development environment
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that diligently apply Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach, e.g. numerous burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.
  • Effective communicator, facilitator, teacher, mentor and coach. You are capable of wearing the right hat in the right situation to help the team improve the way they work and become self-organising
  • Empathetic leader, you take a holistic approach in identifying team dynamics, roadblocks or needs or challenges
  • Persistent with a strong ownership and “getting things done” mentality
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, other languages are a plus
