  • Design & implement our backend architecture, from the data layer, to service orchestration to our RESTful APIs
  • Build the libraries and frameworks we use to build high-performance, reliable distributed services
  • Work on automated deployment as well as distributed logging and analytics so that we can be on top of things
  • Write reusable and testable code using the best tools for the job and participate in code reviews
  • You’ll be hyper-technical - deep understanding and optimisation are in our blood

Main requirements

  • Expert knowledge in programming high-performance, server-side code in Java (not only Java EE)
  • Work experience between 6 months and 3 years
  • Experience in Distributed Systems
  • Strong coding skills and Computer Science fundamentals
  • MSc degree in Computer Science in a top university

Nice to have

  • Real-world experience programming Scala
  • Experience building event-driven distributed systems and using modern distributed systems platforms such as Akka, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Storm
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and distributed computing platforms (such as Hadoop)
  • Significant contributions to OSS projects
  • Someone who can bring his/her ideas into the team and is able to work out solutions to tough problems autonomously
