Intro

FCCN unit is responsible for PTCRIS, a project that aims to promote the integration of various information systems that support scientific activity, thereby creating an open ecosystem that will facilitate the management, production processes and access to reliable, complete and updated information regarding scientific activity at a national level. 

Within the scope of the RCTS 100 project,  we are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer, to collaborate with our PTCRIS project team in Braga,  that will have as main responsibilities: 
 

• Analyze requirements, design and develop software 
• Ensure quality control through the run of appropriate tests  
• Ensure software preventive, corrective and evolutive maintenance 
• Document processes and results

We are looking for people with the skills and experience, but most of all interested in the tech area and motivated to accept the challenge of being part of a highly specialized team and serving the academic and research community, developing quality and innovative services.

Main requirements

• Degree in computer science or equivalent;
• Experience of at least two years in similar position;
• Knowledge and/or experience in: 
  • Java Programming (J2EE), JSF, Primefaces, HTML e CSS; 
  • WebServices (REST); 
  • SQL or PL-SQL database programming; 
  • Software development methodologies and quality control; 
  • Collaborative development in open source projects; 

Nice to have

 It will be nice to have knowledge in: 

• XML schemas and XML transformations using XSD and XSLT; 
• Apache JMeter; 
• MVC Architecture;
• Usability standards; 
• RIS - Research Information Systems.
