Founded in 2008, E-Goi is a marketing automation service provider serving hundreds of thousands users around the world. Over 250 new accounts sign up every day to use E-Goi, which is accessed through a web- or mobile-based application. On behalf of its users, the company sends more than 20 million emails a day.

The job tasks are focuded in the ensurence of the SaaS high performance web application by debuging ongoing processes. The goal is to ensure the performance, availability and stability of our SaaS platform. You will be a part of the team and report to midle-manager. Mainly it will be troubleshooting PHP code, database query performance and monitoring.

Our offices are in Matosinhos (Porto).

Main requirements

  • Proven CentOS/Debian Linux skills
  • Major experience in SQL and NoSQL engines (eg: Mysql, Postgresql, MariaDB, MongDB, Cassandra, AWS offering, ...)
  • Experience of Apache & Nginx configuration
  • Experience with PHP, Java, and Python
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (eg: Docker, vagrant, proxmox, etc)
  • Experience in monitoring applications (eg: monit, munnin, zabbix, etc)

Nice to have

  • Experience with high performance search engines (eg: Elasticsearch, Solr, etc)
  • Experience with Distibuted cache engines (eg: Redis, Memcached, etc)
  • Experience with Queuing engines (eg: ActiveMq, RabbitMQ, etc)
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (eg: ZendFramework, laravel, etc)
  • Experience with package management (eg: Bower, Composer, etc)
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Big Data (eg: Hadoop, Spark, etc)
  • Experience with Load Balancers, Firewalls, Routing, DMZs
  • Experience with DB Clustering
