Intro

Landing.jobs is hiring for a German partner whose team works on a product that is revolutionizing the eBook market. The team is young, passionate and creative and they promote self-responsibility and a hands-on culture.

They are now looking for a talented software developer, who is skilled in web- and backend development, working with REST-APIs, DB and HTML5 for asynchronous high-performance/ low-latency webapps.

Your challenge:

  • You are part of our Backend-development team in Munich and you are responsible for various and challenging tasks

  • Design and implementation of robust and scalable webservices for customer processes and customer administration

  • Are you interested in MachineLearning? Optimize customer behaviour, implement personalization and webtracking

  • High level of availability and scalability in Amazon EC2

  • Programming and maintenance of automated tests in order to improve software quality

  • Automation and simplification of current processes

  • Design and documentation of new API features

Main requirements

  • You successfully finished your studies in e.g. computer science, maths, etc. and you have a minimum of 5 years experience in designing and programming backend applicatinos
  • You know Python really well or you are a Java Crack and know some Python
  • You know your way around micro services architecture running on cloud servers like AWS
  • You know how to wite REST Apis
  • You know how to deal with databases, preferably MySQL, noSQL is appreciated
  • Skills in Continuous Delivery (e.g. Jenkins) OR automation
  • You have Agile team experience
  • You have good English skills (spoken and written)

Nice to have

  • You are passionate about math and data, know C/C++
  • You are experienced in asynchronous programming - asyncio or Tornado
  • You have an eye for design patterns and well documented as well as refactored code
  • You enjoy learning new things and
  • You are willing to improve yourself, the team and the workflow
