Intro

As the Data Engineer, you are great with tasks ranging from collecting the data from the available sources, validating and combining the data, transforming the data and make it available for users, both human and machines.

Your mission should you choose to accept it...

Is to provide accurate data to the business at the right time. Not only should you equip business with accurate data and knowledge of data, but you will also help the data team to grow and define architecture of future data platform. You should think about new technologies that could improve analysis, business and processes.

Being a Data Engineer is all about providing the means to answer (difficult) business questions and solving puzzles such as;

  • Who ordered PSN credits in the last 2 hours?
  • What’s the usual behavior of customers recharging prepaid cards in Venezuela?
  • Is the product bought for self-use or as a gift?

Why tech people love to work at CG

Impact! Every developer and engineer working at Creative Group feels like they are part of something greater than themselves. We have an opportunity to use our technology to make peoples life’s easier.
We work in crossfunctional shop teams that consist of Back-end, Front-end, Quality assurance and of course a Product owner. These teams are centered around one of our labels (Rapido or Recharge).
Next, to our shop teams, we also have dedicated group of people working on our future and ultra-scalable platform. This team consists primarily of backend developers that have mastered PHP and Ruby. They work on services like our payment gateway, fraud detection and product services.
Next to that we have a dedicated IT operations team that configures and supports infrastructure; and a Data team that is developing and supporting tools for business intelligence. Currently, we are about 30 developers and engineers, but these numbers are growing faster than anyone could have expected. We expect to have a team of 50 developers and engineers by the end of 2019.
