We are looking for a dynamic front-end engineer to build and scale our web, mobile and chat applications.

At Artwishlist we are trying to build the best art marketplace on the planet and we want you on board.

You will be working on completing our consumer facing matchmaking platform, taking it from development to production. You will lead the development of a mobile app, and extend our running chat integrations on facebook and telegram messenger.

Backed by a strong vision and some of the strongest angels in the UK, we are fast-forwarding the art world into the digital age.

What you will be working on We have a website in development, running bot integrations in Facebook Messenger and Telegram, and a mobile app in the pipeline.
* Implement and streamline the front-end of our website and matchmaking platform, taking it from development to production. * Work with a smart and focused Team to scope and prioritise user stories, set goals, measure success. * Shepherd your projects through the entire design process - starting with defining the problem, running design studios and brainstorming sessions, diagramming user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and through to visual design.

Main requirements

  • Experience building easy to use and beautiful websites
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (sass)
  • Excellent knowledge of Javascript.
  • Understanding of Backbone, Marionette, any other front-end MVC framework, or React.
  • Experience or passion for hybrid mobile frameworks such as Reactive Native, Ionic or Xamarin
  • Excellent knowledge of responsive layout (Bootstrap Framework) across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile
  • Good understanding of website optimisation and SEO principles
  • Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and the best solutions for resolving them
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient understanding of Git

Nice to have

  • Advantageous to have previously worked with Ruby on Rails.


  • Work as an early hire in a fast growing team and an exiting market.
  • Salary €12,000-€30,000 (net/kathara) depending on experience, employment status and previous positions.
