Working with an Internet of Things company for the Industrial Gases, Rail, Energy, Oil & Gas and Water/wastewater markets, the DevOps Engineer will be our operations champion . You will be part of a team that will build the next generation of cloud-native high-scalable software micro-services for digital twins, analytics, web and mobile apps.

1. Main Duties. The successful candidate will be:
  • Building a world-class IOT platform
  • Developing a micro-services architecture, ensuring security, high-availability and scalability
  • Create automation workflow for manual processes
  • Build and improve infrastructure, monitoring and alerting systems
  • Work closely with the development team to optimize development, deployment and quality assurance
  • Work closely with the development team to implement monitoring solutions (Pometheus, ELK, Grafana, etc.)

Main requirements

  • Computer Science or other related engineering degrees
  • Minimum 2 years experience on a DevOps role or similar
  • At least 2 years of containers and orchestrations frameworks such as Kubernetes
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps
  • Skilled in monitoring, automation and problem solving
  • Attention to detail, data-driven, proactive, creative and innovative 
  • Love for automation
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Familiar with IoT and Cloud projects
  • Experience working on a high-growth startup-like environment 
  • Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, ELK, Grafana
  • Project experience in DevOps, Agile and cloud projects
  • Experience in larger-scale microservice projects using Service Mesh solutions (e.g. Istio) and Api gateway (e.g. Traefik, Kong, Nginx)
  • Understanding of data stream platforms, messages brokers and queues (e.g. Kaffka, RabbitMq, Azure Service Bus, Azure Events Hub)
  • Experience of working with Agile methodologies
  • Familiar with DevSecOps and tools such as Nessus, Owasp 
  • Experience with automation and IaC (Terraform, Chef, etc)
